Geoffrey C. V. Wells, Partner
Geoffrey Wells, a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association, joined the firm in 2004 as an associate and in 2010 became a partner. His practice includes all aspects of matrimonial litigation.
Geoffrey has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario. He is particularly proud of his advocacy with co-counsel Mr. Gary Joseph of MacDonald & Partners, LLP in the Von Czieslik v. Ayuso case. As a result, the Court of Appeal changed the law and broadened the remedy available to a litigant establishing a claim to an unequal division of net family property.
He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003 after receiving his LL.B. from Queen’s University. Geoffrey completed his B.Sc. (Hons) at Trent University in 1994 and his M.A. in Business Economics at Wilfred Laurier University in 1995.
Prior to practicing law, Geoffrey worked in finance in the telecommunications industry. He has utilized his skills in financial analysis to benefit his clients particularly in complicated business valuation and income determination cases.
He is also a contributing author to Handling A Family Law Matter written by MacDonald & Partners LLP.
For recreation, Geoffrey enjoys playing hockey, golf and skiing with his family.
